Sunshine Coast City Hall

About this Project

Emerging as a modern town hall shaped by reverence for the Country, the design inspires the Council's guardianship over the region. Each space's form and materiality cues the region’s landscape to bring together an experience connected to place, heritage and future aspirations.

Manipulating volume, planting and material to create an experiential journey of “hiking” the mountain, spaces contract and expand, are darker or lighter as they define functionality and encourage expected behaviours.
