RMH Futures workspace and clinical spaces for client Royal Melbourne Hospital embodying the design narrative of "Humanity with Purpose”. Central to the vision is the creation of a calm, secure environment, akin to an oasis away from the bustling city.
polytec has been largely used across the project for feature wall panels, ceilings, joinery and loose furniture. The main design consideration was to provide a warm, welcoming and timeless workspace for the users with biophilic design values, which is achieved by the using the timber/warm tones of the beautiful polytec product fostering a sense of comfort and reassurance.
A notable feature is the timber routing into the Tasmanian Oak wall panels, developed in collaboration with Dixon Patten from Bayila Creative. This element represents a significant and impactful extension of his reconciliation artwork created for the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
